After teasing and organising roadshows since the end of last month, Celcom’s new Magic SIM from Xpax was finally launched last week. Celcom latest prepaid service not only offers (what it claims to be) the best daily internet plan around, but users also get a lot more data/call/SMS for every reload.
Magic SIM’s claim of giving more internet than anyone else could be true since it gives up to 3 GB of basic internet but the clincher here is that the data quota can be carried forward to the next month too. The basic internet though has a limited speed of 64 kbps but Celcom believes that it should be more than enough for social networks, surfing, and messaging.
Reloads come with additional high speed internet and calls/SMS bonus with every top up, and these come in RM 5/10/30 denominations as shown in the table below:
The SIM also comes with limited free calls/SMS and free high speed internet upon activation but can be topped-up with subscription plans that can automatically renew after the validity ends. The high speed internet subscriptions start at RM 1/day and the latter comes with 30 MB of data, with an additional 30 MB for subscriptions made before 30th June 2015. The subscription plans themselves come with additional calls/SMS allocations too, according to the subscription amount/period. See table below for the breakdown.
The Magic SIM from Xpax retails for RM 5 and comes preloaded with 200 MB worth of high-speed internet (4G LTE, up to 75 Mbps), 20 minutes worth of free calls or 20 free SMS to other Celcom subscribers, RM 3 credit, and a 5-day validity period.
