Fresh from its latest Super 88 Postpaid offer, Yes 4G has announced yet another new addition to its lineup. This time around, the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S7 edge gets added to the Device Bundles with a new low price of RM 799 for the smartphone itself (in Black, Silver, or Gold). The Super 168 plan (usually priced at RM 168/month) comes with 20 GB of all day data, free 2,000 SMS/call minutes to other Yes numbers, and a free 32 GB memory card. Head on over to the nearest Yes Stores nationwide to enquire more or to subscribe.
The plan’s reduced monthly payment of RM 88 shown in the image below is inclusive of rebates for the upfront payment, as well as RM 5 for auto billing.
Subscribers will also be given a free Huddle XS (worth RM 480), and Yes will waive the Plan Advance Payment, as well as the Activation Fee. The one big catch to all of these? The bundled plan comes with a 24-month contract and subscribers will have to pay RM 1,888 as an upfront payment for the phone. The advance payment will of course be refunded back during the course of the 24-month contract period. As for calls and SMS to other networks, subscribers will be charged RM 0.09 per min/SMS.
Another drawback to this arrangement is that users will have to carry around the Huddle XS to have access to the internet. This is because the phone itself would not have access on its own. This is still a small issue though as users will be able to move their own SIM card to the phone and use it as a normal smartphone. As for the Huddle XS, up to 5 devices can connect to it simultaneously and the data quoted is a whole-day allocation.
