Look alive, fans of free stuff as U Mobile has news for you. The company has announced that the streaming of YouTube and Tonton is now available to you free (without eating into your internet quota) for a limited time. The service is not without its terms and conditions but for the most part, are only restricted to viewing times and the types of data plans.
The promotion is valid for all U Mobile customers who subscribe to internet plans and is applicable for even pre-paid users. The service is available from 2am till 10am everyday and is free until the end of the year. Check U Mobile’s Free Streaming site to find out if your plan is eligible for the promotion.
U Mobile is promising more offers and promotions with its ongoing Vision 2 Million campaign and sees these promotions as adding value to its current offering.
Although the free streaming promo will end on the 31st of December this year, U Mobile subscribers who would still want to continue streaming without using up their data allocations can do so by enabling a subscription plan starting from January 2015. The streaming package will be available for RM3/month and, for now at least, U Mobile is planning to continue using the same hours as well. That would still be a good deal but U Mobile may tweak the plans or subscription rates according to the demand for this service.
This streaming offer targets U Mobile’s younger subscribers and will be an added incentive for new subscribers to join in. The company has confirmed that it is on target to increase its user base by 2 million by the end of the year.
