The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was launched earlier today in Malaysia, but when can you get your hands on one, you ask? Samsung Malaysia Electronics will be releasing this beast of a phablet on Friday, October 17th, 2014, for the rather hefty price tag of RM2,499. In order to entice Note series fans to get it on the first day itself, it will be awarding the first 100 customers who purchase the Galaxy Note 4 at participating Samsung Experience Stores and authorized dealers, with a complimentary Gear Circle.
Samsung Gear Circle is essentially a Bluetooth headset which earbuds could magnetically connect to form a wearable necklet. Besides the usual music playback, it could also be used to answer phone calls and invoke S Voice. It will be officially available on November for RM299, but as mentioned the first 100 Note 4 buyers will be able to get the Gear Circle for free.

Here’s what Lee Dong Yong, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics has to say, “Our five-state roadshow is just one of the ways to introduce a new experience through our latest device — the Galaxy Note 4 via the activities that we have planned. This way, our consumers can aptly correlate our product with their lifestyle that will simplify their day-to-day tasks.”
The Samsung folks will be going on a three-day tour in five Malaysian states to promote the Galaxy Note 4. The company is joined by its partners — Celcom, DiGi, Maxis, and Harvey Norman — to set up service booths from October 17th to 19th at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall’s Blue Concourse. That’s in the Klang Valley. The four other Samsung Experience Stores will get the same treatment to offer the Note 4, and here are the outlets:
- Lot L6.16, L6.17 & L6.18 at Gurney Paragon Mall, Penang
- Lot G65, G66 & G67 at Centre Point Shopping Centre, Kota Kinabalu
- Lot J2-02 & J2-03 at City Square, Johor Bahru
- GC-E, Ground Floor at Kuantan Parade, Pahang
Samsung is hinting that during the roadshow tour, there may be on-site contests for consumers to stand a chance to win the Note 4 itself, along with other goodies.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes in three colors — Bronze Gold, Charcoal Black, and Frost White — at all Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung authorized resellers nationwide. The retail price is RM2,499, but rest assured our carriers will be bundling it with their data plans in no time.
